The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor announced the recent sentences for four convicted rapists in unrelated cases in Cleveland.

“These sentences in four different cases demonstrate our work in protecting our community from rapists and bringing justice for the victims,” said Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley.

According to the Office of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor:

  • Maurice Johnson, 24, was sentenced to life in prison on March 27. Johnson raped his 60-year-old step-grandmother who is disabled due to multiple sclerosis.

  • Samuel Park Sr., 65, was sentenced to 33 years in prison on March 27. Park Sr. pleaded guilty to 20 counts of rape for sexually abusing his granddaughter from approximately age 6 to age 14.
  • Eric Buchanan, 38, was sentenced to 30 years in prison on March 27. He was convicted for the 2013 kidnapping and rape of a 17-year-old girl he abducted from an RTA bus stop.
  • Isaiah Meadows, 31, was sentenced to 33 years in prison on March 28. Meadows carjacked a 23-year-old woman at gunpoint and sexually assaulted her. He then led police on a high-speed chase into East Cleveland.
