With the Republican national convention coming to Cleveland many things must come into place first. One of those is the Hilton Cleveland Downtown.
Cleveland has a new hotel. The $272 million, taxpayer-funded hotel opened its doors Wednesday.
The 32-floor, mainly glass structure has forever changed the Cleveland skyline.
There are 600 rooms, most with views of the lake.
An open air terrace on the same floor is sure to be a huge attraction.
Another neat feature, a Cleveland-themed mural of 2800 selfies in local spots in the form of the Hope Memorial Bridge to the undercarriage of the Main Avenue Bridge can be seen in walkway from Hilton to Convention Center.
