From Meteorologist Jeff Tanchak:

A major snow event will continue to affect Northern Ohio through Wednesday night.  This will be a long duration event so we will not get all of the snow in one period.  Several areas could have over a foot of snow on the ground when all is said and done.  Everybody will see snow from the system tonight.  A widespread additional 2 to 4 inch snow is likely between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.  Expect school closings and a slippery commute tomorrow morning.  Arctic air builds in tomorrow and that will lead to more snow and eventually pure lake effect snow squalls.  The wind could gust to 40 mph at times tomorrow which will create whiteout conditions.  Be prepared for winter storm conditions across most of Northern Ohio through Wednesday.
