Ohio’s next general election is Nov. 7 and voters must register by Oct. 10 to participate in that election.

The Ohio Secretary of State website has a link to walk eligible Ohioans through the process of registering. New registrars and those who need to update their address can both use the link.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Ohio driver’s license or Ohio identification card number
  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Address
  • Last four digits of your Social Security number

Those who do not have any portion of the above requirements may follow this link to update your voting address using our paper form (PDF). Once you complete this form, you must sign and send it to your county board of elections.

If you are a Safe at Home participant, before you proceed, please call the Safe at Home office at 614-995-2255.

Currently in Ohio before the Nov. 7 general election, there are 7,897,442 registered voters, according to ohiovoterproject.org, which is a non profit organization.

Those who aren’t sure if they are registered to vote, can check here.

Commercials have already started for a November state-wide ballot initiative called the Ohio Drug Price Relief Act.
