A suspect was taken into custody after a stand-off with police in Rocky River. The stand-off ended peacefully around 9:45 a.m. after negotiation between the police and the suspect.

Police say the suspect shot a man in Lorain around 1:30 a.m. and then led police on a chase to Rocky River. The victim was taken to MetroHealth Hospital.

The suspect’s vehicle was stuck in the mud in the backyard of a Colahan Drive home. Rocky River police said no one was in danger and the suspect was alone.

Police expect to file charges Monday.
