The WGAR Country Jam has been a summer tradition in Northeast Ohio for 25 years, it’s stage has been a rite of passage for rising country music stars. Over the years musicians like Blake Shelton & the Dixie Chicks have appeared on the Jam stage. 2016 was no different as The Band Perry headlined the all day festival.
Other country acts who appeared Saturday include Lee Brice, Scotty McCreery, Love & Theft, Brooke Eden, Lauren Alaina, Matt Gary, and Chris Lane!
2016 was the first year the concert was held at Black River Landing in Lorain, for nearly a decade the event was produced at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea. Fans took to social media to share their favorite Country Jam moments!

While most fans seemed to have had a great time, it was not the same for others. Complaints streamed into Facebook about the first time Country Jam venue; from tents blocking the view to audio issues the thread of complaints kept building. Leaving some to fantasize that the concert would one day return to the Cuyahoga County Fairground.
CLE 43 is unaware of any future plans for 2017 WGAR Country Jam.
