Cleveland Police said the man accused of killing someone Sunday and posting the video on Facebook is Steve Stephens.

Stephens, 37, is employed at Beech Brook, a behavioral health agency headquartered in Pepper Pike, with an office on Woodland Avenue in Cleveland. Beech Brook has served more than 18,000 children and families this year, according to its website.

“We are shocked and horrified and we don’t know anything more about it. We hope and pray that he is arrested as soon as possible and we hope and pray for a resolution quickly,” said Nancy Kortemeyer, a spokesperson for Beech Brook.

Stephens’ last known address is in Euclid.

Police said Stephens broadcast live on Facebook the murder of a Cleveland man, Robert Goodwin, Sr, 74. In the video, Stephens admitted to killing at least a dozen people. Police have not verified any other shootings or deaths.

Description of Stephens

  • He is described as a black man
  • 6 foot 1, 244 pounds
  • Bald with a full beard
  • Wearing a dark blue and grey or black striped polo shirt
  • White or cream-colored SUV

Police said he is considered armed and dangerous. If seen call 9-1-1, do not approach the suspect, authorities said.
